Angora wool : Pascale CHRETIEN

I have been an Angora rabbit breeder since September 2006. I learned my trade from other Angora rabbit breeders in Mayenne and Maine et Loire, major region for French Angora rabbits. I collect the hair of my rabbits about 3 times a year, in traditional way, by hands, with the rabbit on my knees. The hair of my rabbit is transformed into wool in France (spinning takes place in Hautes Alpes and dying in Indre). The French Angora wool obtained in this way is a noble textile fiber extremely soft, light and warm.

I sell balls of wool (80 % Angora, 20 % Merinos) and I also knit various articles such as pullovers, jackets, ponchos, scarves, caps, socks and slippers. Articles are made to measure by request.

You can find my products at the market in the region (Fontenay-Le-Comte, Cholet, L'Aiguillon-sur-Mer, La Tranche, Jard-sur-Mer, etc.) and also at my rabbit farm (visit by appointment).
